About Me
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), currently supporting children, adults, and couples. With over 8 years of experience and graduate degrees in Human Development and Counseling Psychology, I draw from scholarship , research, and practice to provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. My diverse clinical experience includes group therapy and crisis intervention in acute psychiatric units for addictions and psychosis, supporting healthcare professionals and young parents and couples, as well as outpatient support for children and families with special needs, Autism, and ADHD.
At the heart of my practice is a depth-oriented approach grounded in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic principles. I support clients not just in managing symptoms, but in exploring deeper emotional patterns, unconscious dynamics, and long-standing internal and relational struggles that may be holding them back from fulfilling lives. My work emphasizes healing from the inside out—developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and more meaningful connections to oneself and others.
While psychodynamic therapy is my foundation, I am an integrative therapist trained in several modalities, including:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)Art Therapy
Play Therapy
I customize treatment for each client, often blending approaches to address both immediate challenges and deeper, underlying causes. Alongside insight-based work, I teach practical skills using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to relieve symptoms like anxiety, stress, and overwhelm.
I have extensive experience supporting a wide range of clients, including:
Healthcare professionals
Neurodivergent individuals and families (ADHD, Autism)
Couples facing communication, intimacy, and relational challenges
Clients navigating grief, burnout, chronic pain, and emotional distress
Individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, low motivation, and attention/focus issues
Children
In my work with couples, I help partners break out of repetitive, destructive patterns by uncovering and resolving deeper emotional and relational dynamics. I am trained in Psychodynamic Couples Therapy (NICABM) and am Core Skills Certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (ICEEFT). I bring a warm, direct approach to supporting couples with issues related to communication, emotional closeness, infidelity, conflict, and sexual intimacy.
My practice is culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-informed. I work from a place of authenticity and respect, creating a safe space for clients from diverse backgrounds and identities.
I am a proud member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP)
